The Vision AI platform, module by module
Vision AI is organized into five intelligence modules that run on a single platform and dashboard. Stores can start with one module and add more as needs grow — no separate systems to manage.
Module 01
Identity & Recognition Intelligence
Recognition-driven insight for staff accountability and known-risk alerts, built on your existing camera feeds.
Face recognition
Matches faces against enrolled reference sets in real time as people move through camera coverage.
Why it matters — Forms the foundation for attendance, watchlist alerts, and repeat-visit recognition without extra hardware at the door.
Employee attendance
Logs staff clock-in and clock-out events automatically as employees are recognized entering or leaving.
Why it matters — Removes buddy-punching and manual timesheets, and gives managers an always-current view of who's actually on-site.
Blacklist & watchlist alerts
Flags matches against a store-managed list of known individuals of concern and pushes an instant alert to staff.
Why it matters — Gives frontline teams advance warning before an incident starts, instead of reviewing footage after the fact.
Repeat customer identification
Recognizes returning shoppers across visits to distinguish new traffic from loyal customers.
Why it matters — Turns raw foot traffic into a real loyalty signal that operations and marketing teams can act on.
Demographics
Generates aggregate, non-identifying age-range and gender estimates from video for reporting.
Why it matters — Helps stores understand who they're actually serving so merchandising and staffing decisions reflect real customers.
Module 02
People Intelligence
Occupancy, flow, and dwell analytics that turn camera coverage into a live map of store activity.
People counting
Counts entries and exits at doors and thresholds to produce accurate live and historical traffic totals.
Why it matters — Accurate traffic counts are the baseline for conversion rate, staffing plans, and every other people metric.
Occupancy monitoring
Tracks real-time headcount against store or area capacity limits.
Why it matters — Keeps stores aligned with safety and capacity policy without a person manually clicking a counter at the door.
Zone-based counting
Breaks the store into configurable zones — aisles, checkout, cooler section, entrance — and counts activity per zone.
Why it matters — Shows exactly where traffic concentrates so layout, staffing, and promotions can be targeted to real behavior.
Dwell time measurement
Measures how long shoppers linger in a given zone or in front of a fixture.
Why it matters — Long dwell with low conversion flags a merchandising or queue problem worth investigating.
Heat maps
Renders cumulative movement and dwell data as a visual heat map over the store layout.
Why it matters — Makes traffic patterns instantly readable for planogram, endcap, and promotional placement decisions.
Module 03
Behaviour & Activity Intelligence
Activity-pattern detection that surfaces anomalies — from a person down to a crowd forming — as they happen.
Suspicious behavior detection
Flags movement patterns that deviate from normal shopping behavior, such as loitering near high-value inventory.
Why it matters — Gives staff an early, specific alert instead of asking them to watch every camera at once.
Concealment & abnormal motion detection
Detects motion consistent with concealing merchandise or other abnormal physical activity.
Why it matters — Supports loss-prevention response in the moment rather than relying solely on after-the-fact review.
Fall detection
Identifies a person falling or remaining motionless on the floor and raises an immediate alert.
Why it matters — Cuts the time to respond to a medical or safety incident, which matters most in the first minutes.
Crowd management
Detects unusual crowd formation or density building in a specific area of the store.
Why it matters — Lets managers get ahead of congestion at checkout, promotions, or entrances before it affects safety or service.
Module 04
Surveillance & Security
Perimeter and threat detection layered on top of existing surveillance infrastructure, tuned for convenience retail.
Intrusion & restricted-area detection
Monitors defined zones — stockrooms, back doors, after-hours store areas — and alerts on unauthorized entry.
Why it matters — Protects inventory and staff-only areas without needing a guard stationed at every door.
Weapon detection
Scans live video for the visual signature of firearms and other weapons and triggers an immediate alert.
Why it matters — Buys precious seconds for staff to respond and for authorities to be notified in a threat scenario.
Theft prevention
Combines behavior, zone, and object cues to flag likely theft events for staff review or intervention.
Why it matters — Addresses one of the largest controllable loss categories for convenience and small-format retail.
Module 05
Retail Operations
Store-execution analytics — shelves, lines, and the customer path — sourced from infrastructure you already have.
Shelf monitoring & stock replenishment
Watches shelf and cooler fill levels and flags when product needs to be restocked.
Why it matters — Reduces out-of-stocks on high-velocity items without requiring manual walk-throughs every hour.
Queue monitoring
Tracks line length and wait time at checkout in real time.
Why it matters — Lets managers open a second register before wait times start costing sales.
Customer journey mapping
Reconstructs the typical path shoppers take from entrance to checkout, including common stops along the way.
Why it matters — Informs layout and merchandising decisions with actual customer paths instead of assumptions.
Dashboard
One dashboard for alerts, traffic, and operations
Every module reports into the same dashboard — a real-time view of alerts, heat maps, people counts, and dwell time across your stores. The preview below is a stylized mockup, not a live product screenshot.
