How It Works

From camera feed to actionable insight

Vision AI is designed to layer onto the camera infrastructure already installed in your stores, with a flexible on-prem and cloud deployment model.

The Pipeline

A flexible, hybrid architecture

Core AI processing runs close to your cameras, while reporting and alerting live in a customer-hosted cloud dashboard.

Cameras

Existing store camera infrastructure — no proprietary hardware required.

Edge / On-prem AI processing

Video is processed locally by on-prem compute running the core AI models.

Cloud dashboard & alerts

Events and evidence clips sync to a customer-hosted cloud dashboard.

Actionable insights

Store and regional teams act on real-time alerts and reporting.

Implementation Process

Getting from a signed pilot to a live store

Every deployment follows the same five-stage process, tuned to your store layout, camera positions, and the use cases that matter most.

STEP 01

Video collection

We start with representative footage from your store environment — camera angles, lighting, and layout — to ground the models in real conditions.

STEP 02

Model training & calibration

Detection models are trained and calibrated against your specific use cases: the zones, thresholds, and events that matter to your stores.

STEP 03

Deployment & camera integration

Vision AI is deployed on-prem or hybrid and integrated with your existing camera infrastructure — no forklift replacement of hardware.

STEP 04

Testing & accuracy validation

Live performance is validated against agreed use cases before go-live, with accuracy targets and methodology defined per deployment.

STEP 05

Pilot monitoring & support

During the pilot, our team monitors performance alongside yours, tunes thresholds, and supports rollout to additional locations.

A note on accuracy targets

Detection accuracy depends heavily on camera placement, lighting, and the specific use case being deployed. Rather than quoting a single number here, accuracy targets and the methodology used to calculate them are defined per use case in a signed requirements document with each customer, and validated during the testing and pilot stages before go-live.
